The Irishman Explained

Don’t have a spare three-and-a-half hours to watch The Irishman? This video by TheReelMob tells the story of the movie (based on the book I Heard You Paint Houses, Frank Sheeran’s alleged life story) with the real mobsters involved.

While the accuracy of Sheeran’s stories is debated, there’s no doubt it makes for a fascinating tale. Could one man – not even a made man within the mafia – have been involved in so many of their most notorious actions? Or was Sheeran’s confession simply an attempt to take the blame for these killings to protect the real culprits? Perhaps he just wanted the notoriety. We will probably never know for sure.

Nonetheless, this video summarises Sheeran’s version of events nicely and does so in a palatable twenty minutes. Definitely worth a watch if you have already seen The Irishman or not.
